Good post. Thank goodness there will be decent coverage for Ireland soon. Having said that some of the best roads I've found are from being lost. Does Garmin use Navteq mapping? I think navman mapping is Navteq?

For Europe and US Garmin use Navteq
For Canada they use D?
For Australia they use Sensis (who have a relationship with Teledata)

Thanks Burnie. I was thinking of buying a satnav system but ther isn't any point for Ireland at the moment. However, when this new mapping comes it should be worthwhile. Now I have an Ipaq 3950 and have to decide whether to invest in a gps jacket and software for around £250. Or go down the Garmin route?
