... that the fuel doesn't spill into your face and it doesn't stop ferking with you not matter what you do? It just continues to :pissl on you.

I now furking hate the stock tank, half the garage is with spilled petrol :spitfire

I closed the breather hoses, still the fekker pours the petrol like from the tap. Had to turn it upsidedown to make it stop.

I never had problems with my TT 41 tank that breathed trhough the tank cap.

How you get yer stock tank off w/o a drop of petrol like me did with ma TT tank??? :nenau

Fuel coupling

The exact same coupling is readily available from any Halfords branch at a lot less money and no postage from the Fatherland as well. Bought a set two weeks ago fitted to day, no problem. Syphoned the fuel out first , well most of it, small tube fits down easily into the bottom, have to do it on both sides took about 15 minuted to empty.

QD

I had 'em from previous tank, took them off and put them to new one.

But they were impossible to connect to each other, probably in time they were deformed or something. I had problems connecting and disconnecting them lately with the TT tank as well, while they were OK a year ago, replaced the worn seals made it even worse to connect/disconnect them. So a word of caution for you QD users too (my fingers hurt badly now).

Must buy new ones i guess... Damn expensive and only last few years :(

Use a couple of brake hose clamping tools fitted before releasing the hose. You have to be a bit careful of the clamps when the tank is off but it saves wading around in petrol

The BMW fit ones on my Adv are pretty poor too - one of them is now such a pig that I have to put lube on it to get it to engage. Others are fine.

Really expensive technical fuel line clamp widget:
Four bits of flat metal about 50mm long. Drill holes at either end. Four nuts and bolts..... Bit of metal either side of fuel hose, tighten nuts until pipes flat. No fuel on garage floor :thumb
