Hi All,
I've been trolling through the posts but I can't find specifically how to bleed the abs/servo modulator on the R1200GS - year 2005.
To cut a long story short whilst changing the final drive oil (no drain plug type) I decided to service my very poor rear brake into the bargain. One theory I had was that there was the possibility of a blocked brake hose to the caliper as a friend had already experienced this and so in mucking about to check that and then bleeding the rear brake I seem to have inadvertently taken air in all the way up to the abs/servo modulator unit. I can't get any priming going now. Don't ask me how, it just wasn't my day and i'm usually a bit sharper than this!
It may not have helped the fact that I tried to pump fluid out through the bleed nipple with the abs powered on and a couple of presses of the brake pedal - I wanted to see the reservoir level drop but it never did although the hose to the master cylinder is delivering fine.
Anyway, where to from here? Ideally do I need diagnostic stuff eg GS911 or what? Is there any good links for same? I seen a few links but for the 1150 - the set up there appears different than the 1200.
Maybe its a a fairly straightforward job for the dealer?
Any thoughts?
