How to completely remove Anti virus sofware(AVG)

I have just changed anti virus to Spyware Doctor(PC Tools) with anti virus, I was using AVG.

I have 3 computers, running XP and Vista.

The XP machines seem to have swapped over ok. The Vista one is very slow, clearly some conflict is occuring.

I understand this is common as it is difficult to remove anti virus software.

I have been into the registry deleting 'AVG'

Any tips folks?

I've only ever used AVG and never had an issue with removing it when it's been called for.

Start - Control Panel - Progs and Features - Uninstall

There should be an uninstall function within the AVG folder on your hard disk

I think that this method is recommended rather than using the Windows "uninstall" utility.

I use Revouninstaller as it picks up the leftovers from the Registry.
