I'm trying to fix my dad's 'puter.

The printer won't print.

As far as I can tell there is a document waiting to print but it's not printing, so, I've tried deleting it - it won't delete

I've created new documents, sent them to the priner and they are jammed up behind this one document. When I go to delete/cancel all documents waiting to be printed the docs I created are deleted - the one causing the jam stays there. It says it's 'deleting' under status but does not actually delete.

I can not uninstal the printer software, Windows won't let me 'cos it's trying to print this document :blast

I have reloded the drivers FWIW.

I still have a dead printer :(

Any advice on how to delete this document (I'm assuming that's the problem :nenau)

look in the print cue in properties of the printer then right click delete or empty print cue, if that does not work let it print to clear the system. turn the pages over to save paper, machines are only there to screw you up....

check the test page cos it sounds like there is a driver fault...

best of luck

Isn't this site wonderful :)

That's basically what I had done, but with no joy.....

That cleared the document :clap which allowed me to uninstall and then reinstall the software - printer now works :thumb2
