I bought a tank cover for my new 2007 GSA at the show on Thursday. Just come round to fitting it and I'd swear it was for another bike
Mine is shown labelled as a 2006 model, but this should fit my 2007. When I remove the side panels and offer the cover up I notice the following:
1. Two holes to screw through. The rear hole looks to be for the side panel screw and I'm guessing that the front screw fixes to the rear winglet screw?? I'd have to stretch the thing a bit to get it to fix and don't want to stress the winglet screw.
2. The overall fit around the filler is v.poor. I've put Baglux on my last 4 bikes so I know the initial fit is poor, but never as bad as this. Is this usual for the GSA baglux?
3. Where the bloody hell are you meant to connect to two side straps? The only obvious place is the metallic tank cover but a) Its too close to get any purchase and b) the clamps don't fit. There's nothing else to really connect to.
Any advice and help from people who've already tackled this problem on their 12GSA would be most welcome.
Cheers
