How to remove front indicators r850/1100gs

How the heck do you get to the front indicator bolts. I have a lose indicator that just wants nipping up but cannot seem to be able to get to it. Do I have to remove screen and headlight or more. Any help greatly appreciated .

From memory, the screen has to be removed along with part No 2 half way down this page in the section titled 'Covering, front cover'.

Once that is off you can get to the nuts that secure each indicator

I'd be surprised if it was the "mounting" bolt that was loose, because as you have discovered they are well hidden and quite a substantial nut for something which is relatively unstressed. I would have thought it more likely that it will be clamp that actually holds the bulb/lamp housing. These are just two small screws that hold the clamp onto the mount.

Sorry if you have tried this and I have got the wrong end of the stick, but the other mounting nuts would require a fair old hit to loosen them up.
