How to remove metal mound that holds headlight/instruments? BMW R 1150 GS

How difficult is it to remove the mount that holds the instruments and the front fairings?
It's broken on my 1150 GS and i have to bring it to a welder.

I've attached a photo of the part I'm talking about.

Looks like you're referring to the 'fairing bracket'.

I'd say 30-60 mins to get it off depending on your level of mechanical ability.

I removed mine a while back as it was bent. Can't remember what I removed or the order but it was easy to work out as I went along.

Definitely looks like a bit of a kink in it on the left hand side which poses the question how did it become like that?

A good question. Not happened under my brief ownership. Nothing declared by seller from this forum. A previous off?

It’s a lot easier removing the instrument/beak/headlight bracket than posting a picture..
