I remember in 1974 being on RFA Sir Galahad, on my way to take part in Commando Squadron Arctic training, when it took out a building overlooking the Norwegian jetty. In the dark the Chinese crew had mistaken where the jetty was situated. The bows of the ship went right into the house. The force of the impact certainly woke us up Luckily nobody was injured and we certainly found it funny, though the crew certainly didn't.
