Was looking on the HPN site at what can be done to our airheads for things like world trips etc etc. Seems to me they want 1000 euros to weld in what i assume to be a few well placed steel triangles to beef things up on the frame. Does anyone have a photo of a frame of say a GS 80/100 thats had this done, showing whats involved ?
I am interested in whats possible in terms of making the bike more robust, better brakes/reliable etc. Or maybe just a few sites i could look at of companies that offer a resto service and or the associated parts etc. It's a learning curve for me.:thumb2
Thanks.

I'm only just outside Chester, so pop down and have a chat. I'm there at the weekend for people that have real jobs, so the kettle will be on for you:thumb2

Give me a ring first to make sure I'll be about. I'm out most of tomorrow, so Thursday might be the best time to ring

Thanks for the link Benj, frame looks really good , but is it just a case of paying over the odds down the Hpn route?. I'm sure they do a grand job but they seem a) to take a lifetime to turn stuff round when they feel like it, and b) Very expensive for what i assume can be done as well someplace here in the U.K. ?

Hi, Vern I'd like to chat with you re the Hpn type bikes, what's possible and where and by who as well. I bought a GS100 with the idea of doing something a couple of years back, however long story short my mate has it now. My thoughts when i get some space sorted (car's) is to take on some sort of project in the winter months, maybe in my cellar at home. I,m on a huge learning curve with the old stuff at the moment. Be good to see one or two of these bikes in the flesh to get an idea or two. Cheers:)
