How to wire a zumo 550?

proably been asked a million times on here but as you can see i'm new and,I get my r1200gs 2010 on the 1st of march and I have bought a zumo 550 sat nav a mate told me to get bmw to fit it but I did'nt buy it off them and dont like to ask them but surely this cant be a hard job.

There is a very good step by step instruction in here somewhere that I printed off and followed when I fitted mine a while back. Didn't take long but you need to remove side panels etc and finding the aux socket was an issue unless you know where to look!!
They will fit it though if you ask? There is a special bmw cable to fit the plug which you'd need to buy anyway.
 
If the 2010 bike is similar to the 08MU, and you have ESA on the bike, you should find a CANbus connector under the oil cooler.
Aquire a Zumo power cable from NN or Touratech, connect and job jobbed.
 
Buy the canbus connector from a BMW Dealer

Socket is under the beak - Get the connector from a BMW dealer, cost me £10.00

Dont get BMW to fit it they charge a fourtune for the power lead Ithink £75
