WHy has the Hp2 have more power than 1200GS. I thought that the engines are identical?

There are quite a variety of bikes usung this same basic engine and there are a number of factors which can alter the power output; i.e. the GS has an 11 to 1 compression ratio, the R has a 12 to 1 and the S 12.5 to 1. Otherfactors can be silencer, cams, chips etc
