I just received my workshop stand for my HP and does not seem to fit. The lock shaft seems to be 10mm too long this will not allow the locking bolt to clip into its hole. Has any of you guys had the same experience with the stand.:nenau

Stand

Kiwi,

Do you have the standard front pipes on the HP?

I fitted Remus headers and they are slightly wider at the point the stand goes over them to meet the frame. You may find that the stand rubs against the right header pipe and prevents the locking pin engaging. Only a mm or so out though, not 10 mil!

A few clouts on the right hand pipe with a soft mallet soon sorted the problem and the stand fits fine!

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Rick.

It was the Wunderlich sump guard which held the stand out. It works fine now.

Kiwi "These came with the stand, but i'm not sure what they are for."

No idea, didn't get any with mine!

Perhaps they are some sort of frame adaptors to allow the stand to fit another model of GS?

Rick.
