UK again Pah!..
The nice B*W people gave me a GPS mounting bracket that connects under the instruments and to the headlamp brackets, does anyone know what is supposed to bolt to it as my TT 2610 mount is far too big, fouls the instruments and has the wrong spacings. Apart from that and it being too far away to reach safely it looks nice :thumb

I got mine fitted at the store and the best way to describe it is a trianglular piece of flat aluminium. The Navigator bolts on top of the binnacle and it is very very solid!
If tou get stuck I'll mail you a pic of mine in situ!

It works with the Quest mount:

BMW GPS Bracket

The hole spacing is for the standard Garmin range of GPS Holders, such as Quest, 2610 and the rest of the series.

I run a 2610 on a Garmin mount fitted to this bracket and it is very stable and secure, no probs at all.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Rick.

Looking at the bracket image and based upon what RickA says, the bracket has the AMPS 4 hole format (unlike the TomTom Rider) The 'usual trick' on the TT cradle is is remove the two underside clamps which reveals a mixed hole pattern as they will pick up the diamond base (two hole) just like the quest image. You may get it to attach directly, otherwise you could add onto it RAM-B-238 + RAM-B-201-A + RAM-B-238 onto TT cradle.

Thanks for the part No's Steve. The TT mount for the 2610 is quite big and fouls the top of the instrument cluster and has a poor orientation even after removing the lower plate. The RAM parts should allow me to align it quite nicely and clear the lumpy parts.

Cheers
