question....

CrazyIvan said:
No, but i know it is no longer available. It's the old type can.
Buy a Titanium race can with a 60mm inlet, that's the size used on the works machines. You will have to remove the end cap and turn it around, otherwise the weld on the titanium sleeve will be on the wrong side.

I am working on one, will post pics as soon as it's finished.

I got one of this suckers, and going to turn the cap around, so far so good.

What about the stickers???

Thanks!

You have two options, stand on your head to look at it or buy a replacement from Akrapovic...

PS Be sure to use stainless steel rivets when you reassemble the end cap.

Didn't spotted that thread, but looks like we have pure exhaust-porn going on here :D

It seems to me for racing use the Akra is one of the best choices judging from official BMW racing team that have all and the best know-how with the HP2, Simo Kirssi's bike:

Altough i'm guessing it has custom made Akrapovich from the factory, probably some twice the lighter than the one they're selling to regular consumers altough it has the same outer appearance - good advertisment method like most of the racing stuff is. The racing scene is for selling more bikes, parts and aftermarket stuff aferall.

The same goes to full BM Motorrad Factory Team's HP2 bike - i'm guessing the crank case, shafts, gearbox (Getrag is their official sponsor btw) etc are probably made different, more expensive, stronger and lighter materials used, lot of expensive handwork invested into bits and tuning (Factory team has sufficent €€€ resource for it, like making the factory R900RR for Dakar rallye costed around 50,000€ or more per bike  ), leaving appearance the same but probably the whole bike is around 5-15kg lighter, more power, better suspension and fully configured/tuned for Simo's individual racing spec, than the HP2 they're selling to regular consumers.

For consumer user not racing it in the World class, there's absolutely no difference - the beast has more than enough power with the stock one, not counting the exhaust  :D

exhaust-porn is good :tosser

I personally don't think they changed to many stuff. I think that's one of the reasons they said that the bike is going to be "limited edition". i heard of another wheels(21/18), seat, exaust system, and just tuning for the rider.

i might be wrong , but that what i know.

P.S.
i don't think that difference between R900RR and stock R1100GS is like difference between HP2 for public and HP2 race ready.

Can't speak about Simo's bike but the Baja race bike (same bike Jimmy Lewis
rides in Europe) is stock except for exhaust, rims, air box, and rear shock
(race version of stock shock that has been through a number of interations)...

Oh yes, Mr. Remus barks his voice.

Removed baffle even before I fitted the can to my bike. :D
