Anyone noticed how bright the stock HP2 Enduro rear light is?

I started the bikes up tonight in the shed and I was surprised to see how dim the reflection is on the wall from the HP2s rearlight compared to our other bikes.

I'm a bit concerned about this when riding in bad visibility and when I did a bit more research by parking the bikes at the other end of the farmyard the HP2s rearlight was the dimmest by far.

Anyone else noticed this?(I know Touratech make an extra LED rearlight for the HP2)

By comparison the headlight is exceptionally good compared to my old 1150 and Buell Ulysses.

I've always thought mine was plenty bright enough... although you can get a unit that replaces the reflector with an active light to give you some additional lighting. I think you can get them from Nippy Normans

You might want to check the lens tho - it's not sealed so it's pretty easy to get dirty on the inside making it appear that you have a dim tail light.

Thanks Mav,

Come to think of it i've not cleaned the reflector or bulb since I bought the bike a couple of years ago so it'll be due a good clean.

I also thought mine is bright enough although never compared to anything else to be honest. I base it on the fact that nobody every rode into my bikes backend before filtering in and out through London 2,5 years with the HP2 in all weather and conditions :D
