Now available from Van Harten BMW is a full titanium race pipe......however its upward of 3,000 euros and does not have the shaped end can of the OE end can. You can´t buy the down pipe seperately............... If any one knows of one please post:thumb2

now that is sexy, but how much???? dont these people know what real people earn

Hey if you can afford a $25,000 bike whats another $4,000 for the exhaust. My Megamoto full Ti akra exhaust was $3,000 and isnt half the material and workmanship of this HP2 sport one.

In my case it is partly cost as the pound sterling is more or less equal to the euro so the pipe is very expensive. To shell out 15,000 grand in the first place was no easy matter, but it sure was worth it!:thumb2

The race pipe is gorgeous and I had the equivalent pipe on my R1200S last year. However I think the shape of the OE end can is one of the best looking parts of the bike, so to change it for what is a standard Akrapovic titanium end can doesn´t seem right.:)

So I´ll wait and see if some company, like Remus, come up with some non catalytic downpipes:Motomartin

Yes, in a word.

That is why BuMW (like most manufacturers of anything from vehicles, to cameras, through to ball point pens) produce different versions and, indeed, entire different models of numerous items in their extensive product catalogue.

Chispitas, did you oncome about month ago with other HP2 Sport at road to Ronda? I saw one there and greet with joy. I have never seen other at another time. Mine is now at 10 000km service. It has actually been for three weeks now, as they don't have air filter. It should come next week from Madrid, but what do i believe any more.

I love the look of original exhaust. Pitty to spoil rear with that can. End of can is nice, but it doesn't fill the space. Is there any pictures with plate hanger somewhere?

I'm looking for downpipes also. It would be nice to get one fitting with original can.

Hi Eka. Were you riding the road with a helmet camera fixed??
Also I have never seen another HP2 Sport on this road or anywhere in Spain for that matter - I think I saw you from Venta Madrono (The Cafe on the left half way up). I ride this road every Sat/Sun between 9.30 & 12.30 so hope I can see u there.
Other people have seen you and thought you were me. Ha ha:D
Carefull who you have service your bike (IMO the only person in Spain who can do a sevice properley is Javi at "Taleres Venta" in Puerto De Santa Maria) - Most are hopeless and don't even know what is the correct oil to put in the beast, let alone how to set the valves! You don't need a new airfiter just wash the original:thumb2
Give me a call - 654933320 - saludos Tony:Motomartin

Yes, it was me. That's the only time i tested that camera side of helmet . Video did look stupid. It's better be fixed straight to bike.

I saw from repair manual, that filter should be oiled before use and thought it should be reusable as k&n etc. Anyway there was written "replace". Maybe i should ask those old filters back and use later. Well, i was in Finland three weeks, so not big damage so far. I hope it will be ready next week.

Do you know the road A7000 to north east from Malaga. That's also a nice road. There is couple 360 turns also as it goes through tunnels. It's like this:
VIDEO

Is that Taleres Venta official BMW service?

Talleres Venta is official BMW - They race them so know what they are doing.

Your Video link doesn´t work sais "not available"

Check the post on here HP2 sport has landed. Many fotos (see all pages) - last page link- http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137586&page=12

Yes I know the A 7000 its the the old acess road into Malaga in the 60´s & 70´s it was the only route. Took forever to arrive.....I keep to the Ronda road as its more or less like a circuit and takes a long time to learn!
The El Burgo - Yunquera - Alozaina - Coin road is also great..like the Alps: Both these roads have the best & widest surface:Motomartin

Strange, that video works with me. Never mind.

I usually go through Mijas, Coin, El Burgo as i partly live here in Benalmadena. That road has very good grip and has very good twisties between Alozaina and El Burgo. I have never been at any circuit and i'm chicken anyhow, but that road is absolutely fun. Is there any trackdays to recommend? I know behind Granada is one and Jerez isn't so far away. I was once at gate of Ascari, but it's private circuit and i think it's for cars mainly. They tested HP2S there anyhow.

That Puerto De Santa Maria is a bit far for service. I found the site http://www.elventa.com/. My spanish is bad, but could they do new downpipes to original can and eliminate servo. It should be cutted off and somehow be possible to reconstruct to original for later needs. I would like to have that modification and ecu tuning, rapid bike, pc or something like that. I popped off wire from servo and didn't notice any disadvantage. It pulls better wide around 4000rpm as i noticed.

The site u found is the place I'm talking about (I just didn't spell it out correctly). If Puerto is too far they have a place at Algerciras but u need to make sure Javi is there to do the service.

Anyway what is distance to peace of mind? I nearly sold my bike because the BMW dealers around here are such w...ers! Then I was recomended "Talleres". Worth the agg of the journey for piece of mind. This is important about the oil. You can buy Castrol 1 racing 10W-50w in Norauto and u need that oil out here with the summer heat. I guess you have taken your bike to Guanieri ? If u have, let me tell u that the workshop is a small wooden shed and how BMW ever allowed them a bike concession I shall never know. They couldn't repair my R1200S in emergency properley last year. Anyway please phone me as we are way off topic:topic - Tony:Motomartin

Sorry forgot - There is a new circuit in Huelva as well as Albacete. Jerez is great but Guadix is very narrow. Ascari is for invitation only or if you are a billionair! - I don't do circuits I'm too old and it's expensive

i have posted this message in the wrong thread so i have re-posted please forgive.
i reading your posts about waiting for remus to make some headers for the hp2.
i was talking to a exhaust guy over the weekend and he suggested why dont you take the cat out and make a link pipe . or is this the header pipe you hope remus will make to do just that.
and if you do it what do you think will be the gains as in power and sound

Hi Rubin - This IS the correct post - I am sure it doesn't make the slightest difference mind you.. ha ha
I have answered in the other post put the gain would be (IMO) about 2-3% if you judge this by the gain of a full system and the gain of just an end can. You would save weight though. Have a word with your exhaust guy.
You could always buy the complete system and just use the headers.....would look nice, titanium goes a lovely shade of purple:Motomartin

i have had a word with the exhaust guy he says he can take the cat out of the system and make up a titanuim link pipe using the standard headers and end can ..when i get the bike he is going to take a look

I put the hpn akra pipe on my hp2 E and I think it was worth the money.
Richard//////////////// This is my favorite toy.
Richard. The only pipe made for the sport is the Akrapovic.......so it's that or nothing at the moment for us........................:Motomartin

Rubin. A titanium link pipe would (IMO) be a waste of money as (a) Titanium is hideously expensive (b) you wouldn't see it and (c) the slight weight loss wouldn't do anything - make the link pipe from stainless or have him make the headers & linkpipe of titanium. Check the warantee position.........:Motomartin

thanks for that i think the warrentee will be void if the cat was taken out . i dont think its worth it to much to loose. would love to see the bike with a nice pipe on and keep the stock back end it does look sweet .

pipe

I believe I lost about ten pounds off the bike, gained a very nice sound and definite power gain. On the hp e you can see the pipe. It colors like an old british pipe. It's all a matter of what you want....have fun Richard

Not the only option!

Well, there is that M-tec option for those who understand the language, they have this "twinshot" exhaust that looks almost like staintune pipes.

- Whatever that means!
