Thinking of selling my HP2 sport 5 miles on it 59 plate does £13'000 sound about right ?

Crikey Mike, you’ve only just got it and you haven’t even ridden it yet.

So how come you are selling

damn it I need one of them, why do these always come along when I'm skint...

Job does not look to safe, strange how things change overnight.

sorry to hear that mate:blast. To be honest, business is not so good for me too. So my HP2S ownership is looking dodgy:(.

Bad time to sell now though. i think you would be lucky to get 12k for it.

good luck mate

Hi ive been looking for a very low mileage hp2sport (abs) for a while now theres been one on fleabay (non abs) for ages seems the seller not being able to shift it, and the dealers are having the same problem, me being a cash buyer i did want to find a private seller and save myself a few quid but no look so i called a dealer that has a 900 mile abs bike £12.5k its been in there showroom for a few months (just like many hp2s bikes dealers dont seem to be shifting em at the mo) and advertised on the autotrader site, i asked if there is any deal for a cash sale and they would not move on the price, now if he said ill throw a hugger in the deal i would have brought but seems there not wanting the business so my hunt carries on, oh im a little way there with my ownership as i do have a set of bst carbon wheels to stick on that i had on my k12r (yeah yeah i know the front wheel dont fit i do have a new wheel ..

Regarding the above bike if your a dealer than 13k is correct but a private seller its a little over priced (no offence) Rainbow bmw had a 09 bike last year with 1k on the clock for £11500 i went to view the bike and was a little dissapointed with the sales staff they seem not to take any interest in me its was a saturday and there locals was in the ones that talk about traveling the world but go no further than there dealer on a saturday on a fully spec'd adv with nowt in the boxes!!! and tbh i dont look the sort to be able to buy a high premium bike , but never judge a book by its cover!! now where did i park my desmo so i walked .

Dave.

The HP2S ABS is currently £15,500 new, and there are no deals (as Ding Dong said).
So I think £13,500 for an ultra low mileage one is an absolute bargain.

There are a few in the dealers, Cotswold Motorrad have 4 of the beauties (2 new & 2 used). None on eBay though.

If I sold mine – 20months old, 4000miles, none ABS. I’d expect to get around £11k for it.

There are ALWAYS deals.

You just have to know the right time and how to extract the juice!

or we could look at the prices right now not last year the bike has gone up so has vat.

Just looked in MCN cheapest bike (not sure if it has ABS) £11'750 and 5152 miles. Bike with 3 miles on it £14'673 (not sure if it has ABS)

All others around £12'500 with about 2500 miles on them

My bike ABS 34 miles sounds right at around £13'000

The above bike is on the auto trader site and id could give the link to the one that was on fleabay that has been listed many times without a buyer, and the above hp was for sale at this price before and after the vat increase so cant see how it helps making any used bike a better deal because most hp's ive been keeping my eye on have not gone up in price regarding vat increase.

I used to think cash was king and a way of haggling a good deal but dealers would rather you sign on the dotted line than take cash i cant understand why they wont haggle or even offer some goodies in the deal, im sure in times as these finding a cash buyer they would allow some haggling, things must be tight for alot of peeps im trying to sell a merc vito van top of the range 204bhp evey extra and cost over 30k its one year old low miles 30k me from new and totally unmarked no vat and i cant even find a private buyer for 15k! and this is a absolute bargain half priced no vat still as new! its worth more but its finding a buyer they all want it on the never never.

MGJ, im not saying your bike aint worth what your asking im sure it is and i wish you all the best with your sale and if you have no look finding a cash buyer than please get in touch and we can see if we can deal.

If anyone knows of any good dealer that will haggle regarding a sale on a hp2s (abs) than please send me there details and ill give em a try, ideal id like to find a used bike with under 1k on the clock .

THX Dave

Judging by that lot they (the dealers) probably have you marked down as a tyre kicker.... maybe with good reason....

You see a £12,500 bike but won't buy it because the bod won't throw in a hugger or something similar but if he had you would have bought it, then and there.

You then see one very similar for £11,500 (one thousand quid less) but don't buy that one either.....

Then you moan because nobody will buy your Merc at the price you want to sell it for....

So wapping judging by what lot makes me a tyre kicker!!

The 11.5k bike was last year, and im standing there like a tw4t and being ignored by sales staff even after i had asked one some details of the bike, maybe it had been SOLD he did not state but would rather talk with his coffee buddies.

The cw dealers 12.5k bike i called the dealer once introduced myself and asked the details of the bike over the phone and so obviously they did not want to sell it.

The bike on ebay i emailed asked does it have ABS answere NO.

ive not repeatedly called any of the dealers my visits and calls have only been one and yes i would have brought but i can wait no problem, but when i see a hp2s a dealer has had for over 5 months at the same listed price and im paying pound notes yeah i want to have some deal if not ill wait till the right bike comes along.

Regarding my merc im not moaning at all regarding tyring to sell at the price i want if someone knocked on my door i would haggle it aint a problem and ive brought another vehicle so it can see there till it sells and so please read my post i state things must be tight for alot of peeps so im suggesting there aint alot of cash buyers out there the dealers are selling the same used vito with roughly same miles for 22k +vat yeah they offer finance ive had calls asking if i offer finance if i did i would have sold it ove&over again.

And so if the above makes me what you state a tyre kicker

Somebody who has no intentions of buying somethings or doing something but merley pretendes and has no funds to buy such item/s. :rose

Ill get back im ma BOX .... no offence taken or meant

Thinking of selling my HP2 sport 5 miles on it 59 plate does £13'000 sound about right ?

Question regarding the adjustment of the handlebar angle. Does that adjustment "cam" improve comfort at all when its at its highest position? It seems like it would not make much of a difference due to the small change in the angle. Is there a way to add risers to this bike of any sort?
