Sh!t.... Loz, how long you out of action for then?
You have to get a lift up to the WOR event, maybe Mr Tickle will give you a seaty up here.
Hope your mend goes well.

Timpo.

That motorway looks nasty... A route with a section that comes close to losing the fun element will be good for Snoopy... the guys got grit

Bring it on boys, I'll give anything a go. :thumb

That bog looks ideal. The HP2 will be up to it's handlebars in no time. :P

Forry, most of my parts arrived. If Jim gets the handle guards to me in time I'm sorted, if not, I'd do it anyway. :thumb

If we could get a KTM in on this - it'd be great.

As I say - I'm up for anything with this challange - Enduro, motorway, bog, green lane, trackday - anything. Should be a proper hoot :thumb2

If you get a super enduro in, I'd be up for putting the Airhead in although I'd like to add a twist.

I'll put up the bike and change the rider:

Me for the road
Timpo for the offroad
Johnny Boxer for the trials

Where will the spectator area be?

The road bit could be tamed by setting a fuel budgett or better still a 150 mile gap between fill up

i thought it was supposed to be a face off between two bikes. why not just pull one of the plugs on the HP2 or put a bag of cement on the drz? :nono

Surely this 'Adventurised' DRZ was supposed to be an economy GS ADV. It seems to spend most of it's time doing long road trips. Pitting it against an HP2 with a capable rider in an extreme off road test is bound to be emabarrasing for the DRZ (IMO). Snoopy's up for it - I look forward to hearing the outcome:rolleyes:.

in moto cycle news thisweek they hav a coast to coast race , morecombe to scarborough, on and off road, if they detail the route then that woud do. they are doing it on budget trail bikes, so thats the hp2 then!:hide

hp2 v drz

quite honestly i'd much rather see the two of these guys settle this with a cage fight bugger the m/c's coz there is no perfect bike .id like to see blood and guts last man standing takes it ,yah thats worth a bet

Ya don,t need a super enduro to see a HP2 off, pissed all over the on a standard 990S off road. On rocky terrain the rear suspension like a brides nighty.:beerjug:

How about riders swap bikes halfway through the test and see if the HP2 is so wonderful then ?

Would be fairer - as per magazine road tests, but if you're paying for your own HP2 you should, at least, have the pleasure of wrecking it yourself

Yes,very true.

But what if Mr T wrecked Snoopy's DRZ ?

Where would he find the £30.28 to replace it ?

Of all the bikes I've owned ( about 70 ), the HP2 puts the biggest smile on my face.

After 1 1/2 years it still gives me the biggest buzz from each & every ride. It's got a power delivery like a 2 stroke, its powerband is just plain and simply insane and the bike works best when you're thrashing it - bouncing of the rev limiter in each gear and just simply riding it hard. I even shout "who's yer daddy now! " at it for that final pip on the top :D

And that's the reason experienced riders find them so good. I tried a KTM out for a test ride but found the power delivery was far too refined and smooth for me. It didn't quite suite my riding style and I didn't feel the excitement the HP2 gives me. It was just not as much fun for me at the speed I enjoy riding at.

I know we all poke fun at each others choice of bike but really it's different strokes for different folks, so as long as you're happy, who cares anyway? :beerjug:
