hp2e crash bars/cylinder head protectors what do you use/recommend

best head guards are BMW ones off the 1200ADV.... just my option

NO! - sorry got to disagree. There have been a number of cases where they have broken studs of the engine casing and they face the wrong way for most falls (are mostly cosmetic IMHO). They were one of the first things I took off my ADV when I bought it and put on the HP2 ones. Now that I have a HP2 I use the OEM ones with TT crash bars and work well together. The good thing about the HP OEM's as well is that they protect the TPS, injectors etc and give adequate protection ... and if they really hook on somethimng the plasric tabs give rather that engine studs. just my 5 cents.

getting soaked

i was out last sunday and before it cleared, I encountered lots of rain mud etc. all thrown up from the rear onto my back. is there an extenda fender or hugger or something to reduce this?

head protection

Dropped my hp on the street yesterday and the TT aluminum guard took the most of the impact. The valve cover got a good scratch and the guard was gouged real bad and let go on the front bolt. The rear mount bent back. No real damage to my bike at all. This was not the first time. I think they help alot for a low speed-impact crash. Any kind of real crash would probably be another story.
