I'm about to put some new tyres on my super moto wheels and wondered what everyone had used.
I would appreciate any advise about whats good and what to avoid, also what sizes have you tried and whats the most common size fitted.??

might save me a few quid making the wrong choice.

Thank's in advance.

Conti road attack

had a set of conti road attack
lasted for over 10k miles.

sizes:

120/70 17 front

150/70 17 rear

great set of tyres they seem to have lasted a lot longer than I expected, no punctures, decent hold on wet

I have ordered a set of Avon Distanzia Super Moto
and will try those... heard they are good on all terain and last long so, thought I should give them a chance

quoted something like GBP 203 fitted,

conti attacks on mine I'd stick with them they seem alright

thanks

well that was amaizin,

Thanks for your advice on the conti's guy's. I was actually looking at them as my first choice anyway.
good to get some possitive feed back on them, and I'm impressed with the millage achieved on a set.

just had a PM from a member who has offered me a pair of brand new ones for a reasonable price so I've bought them.

Yet again the forum works its magic, within a few hours I've got the advice and done a deal with another member.
surely that is a result and what we are all on here for in the first place, community.

nice one thanks everyone.

rubber...

a bit late now, but i have put Bridgestone 021s on mine. had em on my Blackbird for years. wear well and grip in all weathers. Found the Conti Attacks wear to quick.....but they are sticky! Enjoy

Thanks Ritchie,
I'll keep them in mind for next time. see how i get on with the conti's.

Also managed 10k out of the conti attack and they certainly are sticky :D

Back on knobblies i.e. TKC and the certainly go quick :eek

Thanks Maverick,
what kind of millage are you getting on the knoblies? Ive got the Karoos on my off road wheels and have just about worn the rear out. I have obviously used them for road as well around the lanes but the back went away pretty quick. front will last 2 rears me thinks.

Or is it just my riding style????

Metzeler Karoo
Back +- 4k -> 4.5k
Front +- 10k

TKC Back 5k-6k miles and prefer them to the Karoo's, never had a bad moment with them with either the HP2 or over 3 years using them on the Africa Twin.

As you pointed out wise to buy two rears and one back tyre whether it is Karoo or TKC.
