HPN Tank and Seat

Hi All
Got a 43l tank from Touratech (HPN made) for a 90 R100GS but the seat does not fit. Any suggestions on a seat that will fit and maintains the comfort level??

Do you mean the R100GS seat does not fit the HPN Tank.

The original R100Gs seat can be modified to fit with the tank. I think a little bit of cutting is involved and I think HPN used to give instructions with their tanks. I might have the instructions in the attic, PM me in a week or so if no joy by then and I'll have a rummage.

thanks for info guys. looking at ordering the sport seat from HPN. i like the look of it over the standard

I took an angle grinder to my seat and it works fine

The HPN tank is produced by Acerbis.

Hi

Just peel back the seat cover each side at the front where it fouls the big tank. There is some thin plastic that you can easily cut to shape to give the necessary clearance. Fold the cover back in place and rivet/glue.
