Little bit of advice require if posible please .

I just bought a new head light bulb off net... HQ H7 xenon 12v 100w for my 2009 gsa , when i fitted it it just flashes for a second then goes out , doesnt blow though as if i turn the bike off then on it does the same again ?

Have i bought the wrong bulbs i read the info before buying and it said it was for the GS only thing is when i took the old one out it was only 55w and not 100w and not xenon

too much current consumption.can will turn it off!

yep, it's drawing too much power so it trips the internal "fuse". Needs to be a 55w bulb unless you go to the trouble of fitting your own relays, but if you want more light then fit a HID instead.

cheers lads I will just buy myself some 55w bulbs if that will sort the problem !:beerjug:

Isn't it normal?
I turn the ignition on, headlight flashed momentarily then remains off, sidelight remains lit. Start the engine and it comes back on and stays on.

Stu.

it flashes momentarily when the engine is fired, then again none of my gs's have ever flashed on when ignition has just been tured on :nenau

All 1200s do that, sir. You must never have noticed.

However, the main point is that a 100W bulb is no good for this application; the ZFE controller will shut it down as it draws too much current.

If you want more light output, go for Philips Extreme Brilliance (55W) or Osram Nightbreakers (55w), or better still get an HID conversion from Zerocool or Les Wassal of this parish.
