Ok new tyres fitted but they couldn't balance the rear, no adaptor for their machine and not just BMWs they said "can't do any single sided wheel"! I find that amazing from a shop, many bikes, Hondas, Ducati's, Triumphs and no doubt a few more, that's a lot of bikes you can't balance rears! So I'm going to have to do it myself, does anyone know (save me taking the wheel off twice to measure) if the wheels on the 1200 and 1250 have the same hub dimensions?

As I could just use my Abba balancer with this adaptor https://www.abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?item=single-sided-adapter-b&pid=51

Could you look on realoem and compare the part numbers??

I made an adapter years ago for my 1200, and still use it now on my 1250 so I would say the wheels are the same

i have the abba adapter for the single sided as in your link, it works ,,sort of,, because of the cone shape the fittings can move a bit so you get diffrent readings ,,, if i was to buy again i would go with the wunderlich one like this

edit,, just looking at the reviews it would seem the abba stand requires a 500mm shaft and the wunderlich comes with a 420mm shaft, so you would need to find a longer shaft to use with the abba, mines an old telifix stand and is not as wide overall so the 420mm shaft would fit fine

Is your bike a 1250?

Are your wheels spoke or cast? Mine are spoke I can see what you mean about the taper.

Abba adaptor ordered and used without any issue.
