Huge Update for Carpuride

I had a 502B then a 702B and recently changed that for the Chigee BMW version (quality much higher but screen a bit small for me)

As soon as you guys receive the 702BS.....could someone post up a few good photos of how it sits in the mount.
I thought the 702B sat out too proud from the mount.

The new mount is flush, much tidier, but i do agree with the 702 B mount. Look at the new mount picture.

It was one of the main reasons I wouldn't, In the past, use devices like this, that rely on an internet connection for navigating. I then learnt that you just download the maps. Last August I was in Norway, Sweden & Finland, for six weeks, In some very desolate areas. Not once did the Carpuride let me down when Navigating.

Hi will take some pics when I refit the BS later this week but if your concerned it’s really not an issue, I am 6’4” so had to rotate the NAV prep a degree or so to ensure you can see all fo the TFT top line, any shorter and will not be need also a have Sargent seats so that may make me slightly higher. Great piece of kit for the price, if the BS gives full Wonderwheel use it will be excellant
 
I do understand the interest in the mount. The 702B did have a rather cumbersome mount. That had exposed wires, and sat quite a distance off the Nav Mount.
However, looking at the images, the new mount is much better. Cleaner. Compact. No external wires. This will make the unit sit just proud of the Nav surround. So nearer than the old mount.

That would appear to be the case it certainly looks much better but I never had any issues with the B, will try and fit tomorrow and post pics

Same for me, The standard W702B was a pleasure to use. Never let me down, and I couldn't see how it could be improved. Both the use of the selection wheel, and the new mount, It had to be done.
 
Mine arrived today. Fits well much better than the old one. As per the old one, the touchscreen is a bit laggy and the things you want to press end up at the very edge which is hard to interact with. I hoped this is where the WW would come in. Wonder wheel works ok but annoyingly you can cycle around buttons on the CarPlay screens but not click them to change screens?? So it’s pretty much useless when in CarPlay mode. I may have missed something though or perhaps needs a firmware update. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Ah do you have to request it? One of the annoying things about Carpuride is no OTA updates!
 
It sticks out a bit from the BMW mount.
It feels a bit “in your face” when sat on the bike - I’ve not ridden with it yet due to inclement weather.
Careful adjustment is needed to stop it blocking the top line of your TFT.
