Having read much about the tricky issue of various huggers on this site and the problems encountered I have just seen that 'Skidmarx' are listing either black plastic one at a retail price of £95 or Carbon one at £140.

Has anyone any knowledge of either of these products as an alternative to Imberger one which seems also to have a few issues, but seems to be relatively successful, or the Pyramid Plastic one that most people seem to junk after trying. :(

I am looking for one for the 08 model fitted with the standard Bridgestone Trailwings, can anyone help? :thumb2

If you can find a Mark 1 carbon Wunderlich / Ilmberger hugger I'd recommend it, not as long or wide as the Mark 2 but it does it's job.

Also have a look at the Wunderlich Internal hugger, nt the most attractive looking item but seems to work well.:thumb

Or make your own? I found a couple of old rubber car mats on a neighbours driveway - so all it cost me was a lazy Sunday morning after I'd washed the bike and a pile of tie wraps....

The side bits stop ~80% of the crap splattering over my lower legs :clap

Hi there I fitted skidmarks hugger they say to do away with the rear brake hose cover which I tried but didnt like the look of. So I took it back off and modified the two side mounting points with some carefull filling & refitted with the hose cover it looks like it should be there I hope this helps .

Hi Passing Phase

Thanks for that, any chance you are able to post a couple of pics of the hugger and your mods showing the mounting method?

Have you used it on the bike much and if so are there any signs of flexing or catching the tyre or swinging arm etc?

Sounds a promising option!

Hi Slowdown

Did not see your post and link.... Thanks this seems a reasonable alternative also with good drawings might look less obvious with the silver zip ties on the frame. Decisions, I will wait and see if there are any photos of the Skidmarx one first.

Thanks guys.
