Just got a txt from him indoors about it - appalling decision, I think.
As well he didn't do anything useful like bring them up from the championship after all the fairweather players buggered off. Besides, with four key players out of action, you'd think they should still win every match.... wouldn't you?

Tonight Martin Jol has resigned from Ajax, coincidence?
In my strange mind I see a similar scenario when Shakin Stevens was unveiled for Fulchester United in Viz, from under a dust sheet.

So they were paying Hughton 250k a year to manage a team that cost **** all to buy, but were holding their own in the Premiership, mostly due to the spirit Hughton has stirred in the Players. They've given 3 players a 5 year contract in the last few weeks.
Does the Esteemed Panel think the New Manager, whoever he is will do the job for what they were paying Hughton?
Will the new Mgr want the players that Hughton and the board have taken on?
and finally will the N.M. want assurances that the club will put their hands in their pockets and actually buy some players, I guess he will.
Interesting Times..............
P.S. I bet Carroll will be away in January.

As you say Hughton did a great job turning the club around. And as you say, all the more impressive with the way he's done it with a tight budget and hardly a penny going into his pocket, nor did he moan about it. And suprise, surprise Ashley sacks him just as his paultry contract is coming to an end so they don't have to fork out any compensation either?
Obvious he wanted him to fail, they never replaced his assistant, Pair of clown shoes, Ashley should be shot, the fat twat. And Llambias hung beaten to a senseless death with a rubber dildo.
I can't see a decent new manager coming in with the funds available, to get anyone decent in he'll have to promise a canny bit of cash in the transfer market. If he reneges on that we'll be in an even worse position. Which is exactly what happened with Keegan
Hughton earned the right to manage for at least one season in the top flight, arguably the best manager since Sir Bobby.

BBC are claiming Pardew will be named as Hughton's replacement within the next 24 hours. Apparently Pardew is an 'associate' (whatever that means) of Llambias.
If they had to get rid of Hughton they could at least try and get Martin O'Neill. Pardew may have more managerial experience than Hughton but has only very limited Premier League experience.
