Just had a call Swidder's.
Swidder's had been at the HU Meeting in Ripley this weekend .
He had just said see you later to Hull Traily.
Swidders left a minute after him.
then only 200 yards from the exit of the campsite it seems that Hull Traily was involved in a head on with a car.

When Swidders stopped Hull Traily was unconcious,he started to come around as the paramedics arrived .

he could just about talk, and it seem's he had no feeling in his left side.

Swidder's said the bike was a total mess and had in beded it's self in the front of the car.

No more new's on him as yet.

I have my finger's crossed for him and hope he is OK.

We stopped at the scene to see if we could help the police find out who he was or if he had friends on site, the police said he had a broken leg ,wrist and collar bone .
send our best wishes for a speedy recovery
Hovis

Sorry who is he i don't recognise his name from the site?

HT is the dude who organised the offroad rideout a few months back. Top bloke, seem to remember he broke his ankle on that rideout to.

Get well soon dude.:beerjug:

Horrible news:eek:

I hope he makes a quick recovery:thumb

If anybody sees him please wish him well from me and another thanks for the great off-road ride he organised on Good Friday:thumb

I set off from HU meet only minutes before, hull trailey left.Mick phoned 15 minutes later to let me know of accident.Looks like the Immaculate DR 650 isw wrote off,all the best for speedy recovery.

Thanks fellas, I'm back home now, broken left collarbone, broken right hand and two bashed up but not broken legs. Considering what happened I'm feeling very lucky to get away with nothing more serious. 300 yards of straight road, lights on and good visibility and he never saw me coming before making a right turn in front of me. I've not seen the bike since but by all accounts it's a goner, only had it 3 weeks and the new v5 was waiting for me on the mat when i got home. Thanks to Mr Arai and Mr Knox I live to ride another day and he's looking down the barrel of a dangerous driving charge. Hope to see you all soon and if anyone knows someone who's looking for the back end of a DR650 let me know.

Paul

Good to hear you're ok, Paul. Bad to hear about your "off", though...

Get well soon & give us another great day's trail-riding :thumb2

Glad to see you're upright now (but probably a tad sore). I hope it's a speedy recovery :thumb2
What time was it you left the site?

Steve

I left around 9.15, was going to hang around and get a brew but decided to get off while there was a break in the weather. Some thoughtful person took the satnav from my bike and put it with my gear, just looked at the tracklog and it looks like it must have been Stevie Wonder driving. The wiggly bit at the bottom is me leaving the campsite before getting on that nice straight road.....
