After the 6000 mile service (needed new rear pads £42!!!
) I went for a hoon between showers. At 5000 RPM on the A52 it misfired like it had developed a vicious (and premature) rev limiter.
Pidcocks diagnosed that the Plugs were glazed, changed them and charged me £35. They don't change the plugs at 6000 miles do they - so it's chargeable!!!
Looking through the UKGSER Tech forums tonight I reckon a plug cap could have been disturbed (maybe during service - thats when it started!) Hmmmm.
MORAL: Read the UKGSER forums first!!!
Anyway I went to Devon for the weekend
and it feels now like the thing won't quite settle at a steady high speed under load (when I rode it on a private runway officer
) it's like that feeling when you overtake a lorry and the wind buffets you as you get out of the slipstream (but without the wind obviously!
) or as if a gentle rev limiter is cutting in. Or maybe I'm imagining it!
Any suggestions - I don't think I can afford to get it fixed under warranty
