Hyper Pro Springs on an R100 GS PD

fork springs

hi I put hyperpro fork springs in my 1991 r100gs paralever about two years ago - I would say they were an improvement, I think I paid about £90 - £110 for them at the time - and I still think they were worth their money - but don't expect them to transform the handling but as I said there was a definite better feel to the front end and less sag.

Have you got the PD plastic tubes in your forks? These are longer than the ones in the standard GS. You could also try the millichamp cocktail. Makes quite an improvement on its own.

The Howard Millichamp Fork Oil formula is:

Left : 75% 15wt, 25% 20wt

Right : 100% 15wt

+1 on that mod, yes, same quantity both legs, 470ml in total each!

Any idea if this formula works on the standard G/S forks, which are sadly lacking.....?

Thanks to all, HyperPro with the milichamp oil mix seems like a good starting point. I will also make sure that I have the correct spacers in the fork leg.

A fantastic link, I shall ask the wife to check my rear end sag at the weekend :bounce1

You check the front in exactly the same way but need to cut plastic tube to get the sag to suit yourself. If you match front and rear you get such better balanced bike.

I tried setting my comedy shock (hagon) the other day. No chance!
