Somewhere out there.
Has anyone managed to fit a hyper pro spring to the standard rear shock. Funds didn't allow when I had the shock serviced. I see the tool can be hired from Motorworks to do the job? Could find anything on the web for someone who had fully completed the job.
Failing that anyone know of anywhere near Fleet / Reading / Guildford that can do it?

Cheers.
Steve.

Use a pair of ratchet straps and a vice to compress the spring. Hook the straps near the top of the spring and the bottom of your bench, wind on both side equally, release the spring and remove. Do the reverse to refit and set your preload.

Be careful at every step to save the shape of your skull. If you don't have the facilities get someone to do it for £30.

All Bike Engineering in Greenwich will do this for you....(Google them, then give them a call)

Be VERY careful doing this yourself as a shock spring WILL remove your head if you get it wrong !

Dead easy job, but hire the tool to do it. Instructioms are found online (i printed them off and gave them away when I gave the tool back for the next guy to use:thumb).

I have just purchased a pair of Hyperpro springs for my 1200 so I will look forward to reading how you tackle changing yours.
I also bought a set of Laser motorbike spring compressors for £30 off of fleabay, hopefully I won’t kill myself using them. :D
