Just fitted the new 30mm lower Hyperpro springs, front and back, then sat on the bike but it apears to feel no lower. Was going to take the bike out for a ride, but the battery was flat.
Do I need to take the bike out to settle the suspention in, (to feel the 30mm difference)
Any body done this:confused::confused::confused:

I fitted some and it is definitely no lower ,When you think about it the springs are the same length so you need a lot of weight on them to compress them 30mm and when you set the preload to the instructions your back where you started.

interesting Keith6233, anybody eles found the same.
Im sure I spoke to someone on here who said they make quite a difference so much so that you have to shorten the side stand.

I have fitted a set of the standard springs Hyper Pro ( not lower) and i also find that this has increased the ride height , i have reduced the preload on the spring
- Ie i used to ride at around 75 to 80 % preload and full with pasenger.(buy the way fully kitted cough/cough/ 15st - passenger (the wife)fully kitted
10st 10.
Now i have set it at 2 clicks below standard setting and back up to around 80% for passenger, this seemed to lower the bike a little , I only fitted them last weekend so i am still messing about with settings.
PS New springs brilliant - KTM 990 SM get out my way !!!!!!
(silly question but is your seat set on its lowest seting?) If you need anymore info on what i find over the next ride etc please ask

Stick :bounce1:roll:bounce1

I bought a gsa with them on (|lower ones that is) it is definitely lower, not flat foot on the ground but better than tip toe!!! Have you wound down your preload as this will reduce the ride height?

I bought a R1200GS (09) second hand, I really love the bike but I feel that spring are very soft for my taste. Lately I installed a rear huger to avoid the water spray and splash.

Unfortunately, when two up (total weight almost 210Kgr) I get the feeling that the rear suspension ends when over bumps etc and also I hear the huger scrub the rear wheel.

Do you think that the standard progressive rear Hyper Pro spring (or any other spring) will terminate the excessive diving of the suspension?

just fitted Hyperpro Srings Std length to 2010 ESA GS

definately sits higher , my little legs (31") got a bit of a fright at first give way sign ! I reckon maybe 10-20mm higher from feeling , maybe the springs will settle a little or could the old ones (10k miles) have sagged ?

Subtle difference in the ride , my impression is that I can feel the bike soak up small bumps but maybe it's a bit ader over the bigger ones !

will update once I've done some proper miles - riding to Misano for GP next week.

I fitted Hyperpro 40mm Lowering springs to my 2008 GSA with ESA, definitely lower afterwards but not enough to need a shorter side stand. I didn't like them so put the standard springs back in.

For sale at £100 the pair if anyone wants them, apologies for the opportunist hijack.
