Today I decided to give the old beast a good spring clean.
I haven't cleaned it since November, however covered all vulnerable parts with SCOTOILER protective spray - some kind of oil type corrosion inhibitor. This stuff did a great job. No rust, no pitting, everything like new.
The one problem that I do have is cleaning the wheels. This stuff just won't come off!! I've used MUCK OFF, WD40, but it is just too stubborn.
Can anyone offer any advice.

By the way I've heard WONDERWHEELS is good but have not tried it.

Please help me, I've spent all day cleaning it and will not be taking to the road until it is pristine.

Wonderwheels

I've used this stuff on many of my bikes alloy wheels, shifts stubborn baked-on brake dust no problems, not used it on my spoked wheels though. Do heed the warnings on washing it off within the time limits though!!

I use the Scottoiler stuff also - good result this winter
Try Motorex 900 diluted 1:2 with cold water.
Apply with a paint brush.
Leave 5 mins, wash off with a regular bike detergent.
Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
