I discovered Dynamic Mode today... that might explain the tyre shortage

I imagine you'd cream your pants if you rode something quick then :D

I think we need a new emote :D

I used to have a ZZR1100 and a ZZR600 before that, so I know what quick feels like, and my previous hexhead was no slouch on the road ;), but its good to find the extra ponies on this one :D

:D sounds about right ;)

Well I'm trading in a 1200GT with nearly 160bhp and that is no slouch :D

I just don't think you expect a boxer engine to deliver that kind of punch. I've been on GS's since 2005, all variants and when I took the LC out for a test ride ride it was like..... Fuuuuuuuccckkkkkkk mmmeeeeeeeee :eek where did the horses come from :D

Jon :beerjug:

I went from a Blackbird to the last hexhead GSA The Blackbird was just getting into its stride where the GS would be flat out if you want power and speed you are buying the wrong bike if you want fun down B roads without doing silly speeds or want to tour Europe with all your camping gear a GS is the right bike but they are not fast even the new LC is not a "fast bike" even though its a bit faster than the old model.

Compared to my "old hat" K1200S - a fast bike it is not...

You see that's interesting... I think a lot of it is as much about the way you drive/ride compared to what you drive/ride

Sure, flat out on a straight road, the GSA doesn't stand a chance, but in every other practical sense I can leave 80-90% of other bikers behind and I often do :)

I don't regret moving from a sports/sports tourer to the GS on bit... I'm now on my 3rd and still having fun razzing sports bikes :D

i suspect bmw have used fly by wire to move a lot of the power to the first part of the twist grip rotation, thus it feels massively fast while being only 15 hp up on the old bike. this would be accentuated in dynamic mode.

i may be wrong, but it certainly does feel quick, i'll give it that :)

Thanks... well my point is when I tried the diffrent modes my view was Dynamic just gave you what you allready have but in a diffrent way and apart from making you think you had a quicker machine under you it did not give you what you did not allready have, a pinned throttle in road or dynamic will deliver you the same result.

I know the sale of studded cod pieces have gone up to LC owners but the reality is whats behind them is the same and it's how you use it that really counts :-)

Plenty of cock holding in this thread, with the exception of Cookie & Wreford who have hit the nail on the head:D

125bhp...............fast

Gimme a break:rolleyes:

..............agree entirely, 125bhp is not that impressive unless of course you are used to riding an 1150GSA :D

Dynamic mode does not make the bike more powerful/quicker - it just sharpens up the throttle response. Even my Prius has a power mode button which does exactly the same :augie
