I discovered Dynamic Mode today... that might explain the tyre shortage

..............agree entirely, 125bhp is not that impressive unless of course you are used to riding an 1150GSA :D

Dynamic mode does not make the bike more powerful/quicker - it just sharpens up the throttle response. Even my Prius has a power mode button which does exactly the same :augie

Exactly, but they way some go on about a 125bhp (at the crank:augie) bike, which is fairly heavy................in the WC section, you'd think they were riding a nitrous 'Busa:rolleyes:

I know the sale of studded cod pieces have gone up to LC owners but the reality is whats behind them is the same and it's how you use it that really counts :-)

Studded cod pieces are so last year, this is what we are wearing along with our twatsuits these days :)

You know when you are in Dynamic mode, the gators eyes go red!

You are right of course, but there is a marked difference in the way the available power is delivered in Dynamic mode. Even though I have only had the toilet a couple of weeks, it is nowwhere near as quick as this......and it's 13 years old.

Does Dynamic mode make it loose about 100kilos?

ahhhhhh......perhaps that's why that other chaps pannier fell off?!?!?!

Only if you can switch between your quick action throttle and a regular one in 2 seconds :)

No I cant, but in the 2 seconds it would take an LC owner to change even on my airhead I'd have left them behind

....That said I have found that if I'm smoother in my movements I have found the throttle responce is not as quick so in theory through manual intervention I ca n make the cahnge inside two seconds and whats' more I can vary the amount and even do it mid bend without taking my eyes of he road

this is what we are wearing along with our twatsuits these days :)

Really! - that pictures is showing a girls outfit

Ohhh sorry forgot, this is the LC section :D

Plenty of cock holding in this thread, with the exception of Cookie & Wreford who have hit the nail on the head:D

125bhp...............fast

Gimme a break:rolleyes:

Not me chap ;)

My view is most GS/As are practically faster than most other bikes. I'm not talking about out and out power or speed, but on an average run I can keep pace with most people and pass a good number of them.

A lot of that is the bike (riding position, torque, suspension, etc) but it's always riding/driving style. I also have a 3l D4D Land Cruiser and find I can past most people with that, particularly as 90% of them never pay attention ;)

I had a zx12r about 13/14years ago and they are blisteringly quick but not as quick as my gslc or my hp2 sport riden on a/b roads fact. If all roads were straight or motorways the zx12 would be the fastest no doubt but the roads most of us ride the gs would have it a to b. The gs is very fast on the right roads and the right hands. Definate. Comments.......

On that basis they should be entering & winning the production class at the Isle of Man TT on WC GSs...............

I have a 2012 GS1200, and took a new GSA out for a test ride. Miles, miles quicker- but its not the max HP- its where the power is- suppose its the torque? This GSA was lifting ( with provocation ) at 70. Something my GS would never do.

I know a bit about fast bikes- had bikes since the 70s- also have a 2010 blade trackbike and ( a Harley :) )

Gs s are Obviously not as quick as these (old) sports bike but its not the bike- where it counts -on the twisties.

I think the GSs used to do very well on the Dark Dog race through french back roads though!! Look it up.

The comments where about how "fast" the WC Felt, not point to point times etc etc. My GS LC / WC Feels fast, but the ZX12R Is fast, and it's a slug by S1000RR / ZX10R / GSXR1000 Standards. I'm not knocking it as I really like my GS. I've got a 28 year old XR600R, I bet my GS LC Is not as fast as that on an unclassified road :)

Read the post. Im talking about a machine such as the zxr12 not a production racer. Read and understand..... and oh .. my hp2 would waste the zx around the tt course. Open them eyes.
