I didn't find it that uncomfortable but I did find it too high when I had SWMBO on the back so I bought Sargent seats with the low one for me. Now I can flatfoot it easily. I did have a problem fitting it initially but that is sorted. Super quality and very comfortable The only slight downer was the £450! You get what you pay for

Do a search on the forums.This question has come up before and there are various solutions.
ie.The seat needs time to bed in.Sargeant seats,airhawks,corbin seats,
padded cycle shorts,dont wear jeans,piece of sheepskin etc etc.

How many miles have you got on it???

They soften up..or at least get moulded to your arse a bit better....well, at least, the 1150Adv seat did.

Mine wasn't really comfy until about 8k miles, but since then it's comfy for multiple 800+ mile days.

The answer to a replacement isn't easy...there are many different options but each is good for only some people.....I know people who have gone through 5 or 6 different solutions until they've found something that suits......so although you'll get lots of suggestions here, take each as purely the fact that it's available, not that it's any good for you specifically.

Before you spend a fortune as well, try an Alaskan buttpad or similar sheepskin..that makes a big difference, and also try an airhawk...you should find someone locally who'll let you borrow one for a long ride, and they seem to be very good for more people than most other seat options

I found the problem with the standard seat is that it is too soft rather than too hard and therefore does not give the right support. My solution was to buy a spare seat off fleabay (£45) and then got it rebuilt by www.motorcycleseatworks.co.uk for £75. Got this back last week and did 6 hours ridding with it on Sunday and definetely a lot better than the standard seat for me

You spend in excess of £10k on a bike and then you find out that the seat is uncomfortable, so you need to buy another one.

Still............whats another few hundred quid ah?

I fixed it by spending more money too.............on a pair of Nippy Norm's up and back handlebar risers,they have resulted in a better seating position with much better posture and I'm no longer squashing the family jewels-IYKWIM

These are the risers-much cheaper than a new seat,they have also helped reduce the discomfort I was feeling from the large degree of "sweep-back" from the standard handlebars

Humvee,? I just fitted the same type NN barbacks to my ADV12 but needed to relocate the front brake hose and the left hand switch wires which fould the headstock on full lock?,
Is your bike different??.

Yes they do improve the ride position and seat cumfort so far??.

Now you have got me thinking is the position of the old 1150GSA that much different fron the new 1200GSA is this the problem more than the seat, so do i need bar risers instead (a lot cheaper)

Is your bike different??.

I've rotated the bars forward in the clamps slightly that's all,no issues with stretched cables or controls on full lock.
