I dropped my bike D'oh

In fairness it looked like a well camoflaged drop away on the verge.

IME dropping the bike is often preceeded by a quick change in direction. I bet you were enjoying your spin before that happened ;) :D
When you stopped all the weight shifted to the left also making it impossible to catch it DAMHIK :ROFLMAO:

But a problem shared is a problem halved!

At least you had an excuse with the road conditions; my last drop was riding off on a fully loaded GSA with the disk lock still on, needless to say it didn’t end well. I just lay there laughing at my own stupidity 😖

If i was able to put the power on i think would of made it around. But because i was unable to give it power i just followed the camber and over i went.

Been down the garage this morning, and fixed the broken fixing on the front panel. Put some paint on the rear crash bar and cleaned the bike. I also had to clean the mud off my boots and trousers.

The front engine bar dug into the mud up to the cylinder head. That is why the front panel fixing broke as it was pushed into the mud and grass along with the screen.

I dropped my shiny new 2010 GS a week after getting it brand new. Trying to set suspension, did the bounce test by pushing down on saddle to see how quick the rebound was.... Bounced it away from me, and over she went...No one (lets hope) saw me feel like a dick! First time is always the worst. I am now quite used to it...lol

Dropped loads, crashed more and including trucks....No one cares, apart from yourself, so dust yersen off and do it all again.
Also crashed boats, which is significantly more life threatening, but all is well that ends well. (y)
Totally agree... Occupational hazard and a drop is not a crash... A CBT student once said to me "you can't drop a car" as the main difference...🤣

I dropped my Tiger Rally Pro last August riding the Col de Somellier. I didn’t quite get to the top and dropped it on the way down. A few broken plastic bits (that I will get round to replacing) but no real damage to either me or the bike. It’s only a 900 RP but they’re still a heavy lump to pick up on your own. As someone else said, there’s two types of biker. Those that have dropped it and those going to drop it.

Don’t worry. I’ve dropped every adventure bike I’ve ever had. Never dropped one of my sports bikes though.
