What did you use it for then? It's a water dispersant and you don't say that you used any water.and I didnt use the wd40 to lubricate...
Sorry but I don't understand the thinking behind using any oily substance in a process intended to remove the tarnishing. The idea is to grind or abrade the tarnished surface away, something oily will only extend the effort required to achieve that result.
oh well never mind, hang in there, everything will be alright and the world will keep turning despite what I do.

Not if you are happy and you obviously are. I was merely agreeing with your advice to others not to do what you did.does it really matter?
