Unwieldy?? probably. Anyway i'm new to the forum and i live in Cork. I bought my 1100GS from Mark Henry about a year ago. I cant believe it's taken me 28 years to get a BMW. Now i know what i've been missing.

I forgot to say hello and thanks for having me.

Hi Alan.
The term newbie is to denote someone being new - there are plenty here who commit faux pas and upset people even after many years. :blast
Where do you draw the line? :nenau

Just don't ask 'what oil' or post a thread about Hitlers' new bike and you'll go far. :thumb2

Fecks sake... Are ye given a GS for yer communion down in Cork??? there's swarms of yez.

True for ya Alan, i've always thought Newbie a little condescending.
Good to hear ur enjoying that bike. Same boat myself had loads of crotch rockets of varying sizes said id buy a BMW when I hit sixty then I got left at the lights once too often by some fcukr on a horrendous looking machine! That was it, hate the look but love the ride! Now even the look appeals. On my fifth GS so I guess that says it all for me.
Enjoy it!
