Okei, helmet is quite good but vizier make me grazy! Problem is that, over 80kmh I can´t drive vizier open or half-open. That just smash down, when I drive over 80km/h. Same problem with Xchallenge and K100rs. Enyone know, how fix that problem?

i dont have a fix,
but i ride much faster with my Shoei helmets and can have them open as much as i want no problem

I am in the weening myself off enduro carbon fibre helmet to a flip/modular helmet tried the Schuberth C3 pro but not as well made in my opinion and not as good shape for my head as the Shoie Neotec bit the bullet today and bought the Neoted, just had the autocom headset fitted. Will try it tomorrow.

I got mine from J&S at Doncaster and Nathan couldn't have done any more for I thought I was a 61/62 but in fact I have a 59/60 with a xl skull cap and narrower check pads 31mm instead of 35mm still got a little hamster face feeling but assume it will break in?

The weight is the biggest issue so far for me as I said all helmets will feel heavy after having a carbon lid for the last 2yrs!

Big D :)

I had the same issue - discovered on my holiday in Italy! Poxy helmet

Took it back to Hein Gericke who sent it away - the mechanism was crap, no resistance to wind etc over certain speeds - appears to be better now, although tbh, I prefer using my Arai anyway......

Not the helmet it is the bike, on my GSA and my 1150gs before it the visor slams shut at 60 mph, on my 1100 katana with low bars the visor stays open up to 95 mph plus, similarly if worn on my xr250 the visor stays open up to 70mph.

As I have never owned or used a Modular lid and now having had the Schuberth C3 Pro,(Gone) and Now my new Shoei Neotec the Shoei is far better for my shape head I always had Aria's and Uvex, but I have just covered about 130 miles today and i have to say apart from the break-in 25hours (say shoei tec team ) I think then it will be good. Both helmets were good for old gits like me who have to wear Glasses and the only slight niggle i have with both was when you close the front the sides tighten up your specs move but it makes hard for repositioning as the helmet it tight!

Using the comms was great after the autocom was installed the phone was clear and crisp, music good and conversation bike to bike was fine through pmr and helmet speakers.

I rode up to about 55mph with the whole front up. :-)Then up to Mmmm Speeds on motorway with the visor tight down vents off and it was smooth maybe the Schuberth was quieter but not hugely. This is the first helmet I have ever had that actually has a vent system that works you can feel it whisking across your scalp (cool) pardon the pun. Then around A roads with visor up in all positions and it does not move or attempt to close. The sun visor clips my nose slightly but you raise it up a tad, I like it up a tad also so I can look down at clocks and controls without it being dark!

I think it will be better in time.... I hopes.Time will tell....

Big D:)

***Problem solved***

I send email to Finlant import. There is available new parts in visor, 29€. Becouse my helmet is olny 9 months old, I get parts free.

Still i´m not happy. Helmet was quite expensive, 450 euros. In that price, I should get very good helmet, not like 100 euros egg.

I've been really disappointed with mine too.
After about 9 months (everyday use) the visor would not stay open at any speed. I took it back to the shop and they replaced the mechanism parts - but only with the same shoddily designed bits - so after another nine months it was knackered again. I did some subtle mod myself which made an improvement, but it's still very poor at staying open.

It's a real pisser to spend £500 on a helmet just to find out their visor design is not as good as any helmet you'd spend £50 on. I keep thinking I should write them a stiff letter.

Mines four or five years old.
After six months, my visor loosened and dropped as described. I took it back and all was fixed with no problems since.
SOH des like you have had a fault which can be rectified.

Waste you time, bro. I sent email to schubert at two weeks ago, no answer.

I got a reply - but was just "see your dealer who will fix it under warranty"

Trouble is, it's not under warranty anymore, and still has the same fault.

A quick scan of t'internet show how common this problem is with the C3, and as a designer myself, I can't see how Schuberth thought such a mechanism would ever last more than a 1000 cycles or so. Poor show methinks.

I'll rattle my dealers door and see if they fix it, but a shoei is next on my wish list.

No problems with the visor on mine but HUGE problems with wind noise. No matter what settings I used on either standard 1150 screen, tall screen or MRA Vario with or without Tobinators my hearing was beginning to suffer big time. I borrowed another C3 with the same results so it was not unique to my C3.

I found a thread where it was suggested that possible problem areas were the chin vent and the slider for the sun visor. So I taped these over and found there was some improvement. But sealing these rather defeats the object of having these features in the first place. Clearly the C3 works well for some but certainly not for me.

So in utter frustration I gave up and went back to a full face in the form of a Shoei Qwest. What an incredible difference, riding is now a pleasure again.

My C3 has just broken after 18 months ish - the flip-up mechanism on the left hand side came away with the visor when I removed it, on investigation I found a broken piece of plastic.

The helmet is comfortable and quiet and previous one was trouble free - but I am not convinced that the flip/visor mechanism is really man enough for my requirements of almost daily use, so I think that I will give up on Schuberth and try the Shoei Neotec.
