I know many of you may think its a waste of money fitting one to a stock bike but you would be amazed at the improvement, I am!

As standard, the bike runs very lean throughout nearly the whole rev range. Apparently BMW and KTM are the worst for doing this.

It now pulls clean and strong everywhere with smoother running to boot.

I have altered the gearing to one off front and up 3 at the back and it is so close to perfect now its unreal. The only downside to altering the gearing this way is it redlines in top gear too easy.

Worth every penny it cost me.

Malc ...

Did you have yours set up on a dyno too?

From my experience - mine been on for 12 months now - I can only echo what's been said, although I'm surprised you've needed to alter the gearing... mine's spot on as it is!

The MPG figures - well, I can't say they've improved by any stellar degree, but the bike runs so much better it's almost untrue...

Gunz - there's not much to see really, to fit it (you should have read my first write-up!) you have to take off the top 'tank' cover, the air filter box, the battery and anything else in the way ... the PC loom just piggybacks onto the existing loom, and you need to disconnect the O2 sensor behind the RH side panel. After that, the box of gubbins just sits between the frame rails under the seat. Paddy - if you can find my pictorial of the valve-job I did a couple of months ago you might see the PC wiring loom ...

The pc sits on top of the fuel thing under the seat after the tank. I think its the sensor or something (its grey with a rubber grommet pocking up).

I got a deal off dynojet uk in Preston for mine because they wanted a map of a stock bike. I got free dyno time and 25% off the pc, it cost me £246.00.

I wouldn't say the snatchiness has gone completely but it's so improved everywhere else I don't care. I have never thought it was overly bad though, like a 990 KTM.

I would agree Greggers that the gearing I am now running is too short for the bike now but I did it before I considered the pc. At least my chances of a ban are reduced with this gearing!!
