Maybe the reason is that the roads in the New Forest are a lot better than those in Northern Italy. Well they are in my area i.e. Valpolicella! The roads here were definitely designed after a few glasses of wine. Or is that bottles.

Cheers. VR

p.s. Huey, did you get your bike?

What do the Italians think of the moto tedeschi ? In Italy, it used to be mandatory to buy only Italian many years ago (but then again I'm talking about the 70s and 80s).

Ciao.

Well... In italy we have great bikes! Aprilia (for technology), ducati.. moto guzzi ecc... But the problem on this bikes is the reliability! So I think that if I want a very reliability bike I must buy a japan one! Unfortunately, there is only one "real" ON-OFF japan bike... the Honda Transalp! The other are many ON and less OFF! Africa Twin is died, Varadero is a good tourer but heavy and so big! suzuki?? V-STROM?? :( :( And Yhama?? :( :(
And there is BMW with great bike!
What do the Italians think of the moto tedeschi ?
:( :( Italians think that BMW is BMW, a great bike! A great bike to appear! You may find here in italy many perfect GS... clean... with few Km... used to move the bikers from house to work site, or pub...
Is difficult find on the road a GS with many Km (100.000??).. a good tuning for travell... 2 alu cases... and overload! ;)
OK.. there is some exception but is the minor part.
