Hey everyone!

So I just finished riding my GSA across the USA, NYC to LA. Spent about a month doing it and it really was awesome!

I've made a timelapse of the whole thing (though I never manage to embed anything correctly... I hope this encourages you guys to try and have your own adventures!

Well done, Great Video, very easy to watch, love the mileage counter.

What Camera did you use? and what software?

Thanks :)

Was a GoPro HD 1, using iStopMotion (creating the clips from the photos) and final cut pro x for editing and the mileage counter

is it me or does something seem off with the fuel v mileage ratio by my maths it works out at 16mpg. great video though

That's a great little video, well done. Must have taken you a fair while to put together.

Excellent! :thumb

Where next?

:beerjug:

that's for 3 bikes and US gallons not British

I did convert us gallons to uk but didnt realise there were 3 bikes, so that makes it 41mpg if all bikes were equal and used the same amount of fuel each, that makes more sense now.

Thanks, yes it did take a while. The longest bit was trying to acurate place the state lane crossings. I had to look at the route and find where we crossed then look that up on streetview so I knew what to look out for!

Westfield Shepherds bush :beerjug: Though the bikes aren't back till mid september :tears Who is going to ask my stories about all my stickers on the top box!!

We do have an excel spreadsheet with average mpg per day, speed etc. someone on the trip was a numbers freak (but it wasn't me :rob )

Are you still speaking to each other:eek::D

It's certainly a different format for a Ride Report.

Just an idea....could you alter the edit to slow to normal speed for perhaps 2 seconds at interesting intervals?

^^^
What he said ..... 2 mins and I closed it down, I was knackered!

Well the only problem of making it slower is that it will be about 30 mins and there's no way anyone is going to watch something that long!! I'm planning on making a highlights shorter slower version at some point soon though :D

Allegedly, it's not about the length, it's about what you do with it...the time, that is. :thumb

Great, loved it.
You should dump the music and get a bit of dialogue going:
