I started watching the Long way round. After hearing so much about it. I finally looked for the DVD. I have had it at home for 5 months. It was a gift.

I watched the first episode. I thought it was funny when one of the guys (Charley?) ripped up the KTM poster after KTM turned them down. :)

My question is: The KTM guy said that they did not think that they could make it. :spitfire

At first I though that KTM were talking about Ewan and Charley. Then I thought, no, KTM thinks that their bikes will not make.

At the end of the episode, they showed shots of the rest of the trip. The first thing that went through my head was. "Fcuk, I would not want to take my 1200 through that shit, so thats what the 1150 guys are talking about".

(I would take somebody else's 1200, but not my own. :D)

Edmonton does not have an Airport Mr. Funny Man. :)

You can only get there by dog sled.

LWR Special edition DVD

In older wiser cultures, abominations like this are seen as signs that the harvest will surely fail...

So, if you guys have already seen it. How does it end?

ewan & charlie are pursued into Chicago by the police, the Good Ol' Boys, and the Nazis. The Good Ol' Boys' Winnebago goes into a river, the police all get into a pile-up, and the Nazis go off the end of an unfinished freeway. They get to the tax office and pay the money the mission needs, but are arrested as they are given their receipt.

The directors cut has a different ending - speedboats, sharks, one-eyed baddies wearing white suits, the whole tombolla ;)

Didnt they get ot the USA trade in the GS's for a couple of chops and ride off dressed as Capt America and his dope smoking side kick ?

Well lets see:

BMW sells thousands of GS's to riders who before that show would have bought cruisers.

The Rally 2 suit becomes a "must have".

Garmin sells alot of GPS's.

Charley now has a job as a bike show model.

That's me then, traded in my Hog for a GS.... I better not watch any BSB racing then or I'll get a R1 :eek Or if I watch a programme about the mounties I'll get a red jacket, a horse and of course always get my man :ymca

I don't know many folk who are that gullible! :nono This thread is becoming sooooooooooo predictable...again!

By the way lukate I think you mean Miss Daisy! mmmmmmmmm...... :peach:

It's one thing to watch an Ad and buy a 20 or 100 dollar item.

Something completely different to watch a show and buy a 20,000 dollar bike.

Anyways I am going to watch the rest of the episodes.

One thing I will say, whats with buying a GPS? I guess they are cool, but.... :)

(Whats a good make, because I want one too! :D )

Charley and Russ will be at the BMW stand at the Toronto Motorcycle Show, North Building, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front Street West, beside the CN Tower.

Too bad I live in Vancouver, I knew I should of never moved from Toronto. Toronto gets everything. That's why they call it Hog Town. :D
