My 1150GS has suddenly sprung an oil leak. It's coming from the nearside (left hand as you look forward) top of the cylinder - near the engine block.
Now I know I overfilled the oil (by accident - and not a lot, 1/4 of a litre max) when doing a long trip in Europe a month ago. After filling it I did about a 500 mile thrash to get home.
Question? Anybody experienced similar and can tell me where to go without the arduous necessity of cleaning, checking, cleaning, checking etc etc.
Just before I went on my hols I did a cam chain tensioner mod - but this may be a red herring as I'm sure I tightened the tensioner bolt OK.

I've just pulled the donkey (1100) to bits because of the samething. The 4long studs that go through the head and barrels sometimes come loose,so just hoof them up again. When I tried to do mine, two of them stripped out of the block.I think I'm just lucky, because no one else seems to be able to do it.
