New GS on the way so I spent this evening working out what needed to be transferred from the old to the new GS. I was staggered to come up with a list of 5 items to be removed because I don't farkle. Honest. Went into the garage to make a start then started to remember other bits long forgotten.

So far my list is:
1.Adventure screen(see earlier thread)
2.Starcom
3.Engine bars
4.HID headlight
5.Sat nav mount and wiring
6.Spare battery power take-offs
7.Tank bag strap on tank
8.Throttle lock

Clearly I now need to seek professional help for my addiction but I think I might wait until I have decided on whether to get a Sargent seat.

The list grows

Just found number 9 farkle - Top box bracket. Is there no end?

now look what you have done started me counting on my o8gs

1. changed colour [got fed up of grey ended up pearl blue]
2. hid
3. teck moto
4. spots
5. oilguard
6. screen
7. winglets
8. bar risers
9. crossbar brace
10. gps
11. dash infil
12. dash front cowl
13. changed to spoke wheels [swapped from my 04gs
14. low seat
15. drink holder
16. adaptor plate [case instead of seat]
17. battery protection plate
18. inch block on side stand
19. booster plug
20. crash bars
21. rocker protection
22. fender extender
23. crud catcher
24. adv brake peddle
25. clear indicators
26. head light protector
27. cigarette lighter

still more to do.

1) SW Motech engine bars
2) Famsa tankbag
3) Puig hugger
4) BMW GPS mounting bracket & crossbar (not fitted yet)
5) Givi rack (not fitted yet)
6) Pyramid Plastic fender extender

Only other thing I can think of is one of those little folded sheet ali deflectors which fit behind the numberplate to stop SWMBO getting covered in crap when it's wet :nenau

And maybe a different screen

And some headers to remove the cat.....

Farkle?

What does Farkle mean?

I looked in the handbook but all I could find was "FUBAR" :ronno

I have quite simply changed the name of my bike on the owners papers. It's now a Touranormohlins R1200GS.

I know we're both totally farkled. we've got £200 to spend from the BMW catalogue and can't find a single thing for either the 1200 or 800 that there is room to fit, excluding tank bags which neither of us like.

'...and Alexander looked over all his domains and wept, for there were no more dominions to conquer'

Well, maybe some of Les' new spots when they're available.:augie

Had the same experience changing from '05 to '07 model.
The List then :
- Stebel Magnum horn
- brake pedal extension
- xtreme screen
- sidestand larger plate
- RAM mount for GPS

Since then The List has gotten even longer :
- HID headlight
- aftermarket led indicators (*)
- aftermarket led rear light (*)
- mudsling
- handlebar risers
- K12/13R mirrors
- Wilbers suspension
- Flowjet

That's made my GS unique enough (untill I think of something else :augie ).
(*) These items I bought just for fun. The rest I wouldn't like to miss.
