only seem to be able to get unsealed versions and they keep seizing and have, last weekend, drained the battery of the bike. if you have one or know where i can pick one up, do let me know...ta

I had the same problem with a couple of relays which powered my Stebel Nautilus horn. I couldn't find a sealed one and in the end I used Araldite to seal the plastic casing.

I was just typing a similar response... Too slow, me ;)

Take your unsealed one & use silly cone bathroom sealant around the casing joints & any vent holes.

it's just a relay i've used for powering some aux lights i've mounted, so it's not the end of the world. in any case, i'll go down the silicone line if i can't get my hands on on. thanks for the responses, appreciated.
I'd be more concerned about that amount of moisture getting into youe electric's ?

maplins do some nice ones

be wary though of condensation, sometimes worse than the moisture you are trying to prevent.
why dont you put an ordinary relay in the dry of the fusebox, just a bit of rewiring needed, much easier.

Check out some jap bike breakers, a lot of the newer stuff have resin encapsulated relays fitted especially for the lights when they are mounted in exposed positions behind the fairing cowl.

Si Go to a Chandlers they will be significantly dearer than a standard realy maybe £15 but they should be available from them OR the dreaded Fleabay
