I need an easy to erect good quality 1 Man tent

I have an Outwell Earth 3 that i use for my bike camping.
its a great tent and its been under some very heavy rain, packed away wet and re-erected wet and still not leaked!

however its poles are shit. I snapped them while touring Holland, luckily had a spare section and repaired it.
A pole snapped again the other week in the lake district.... i need to order new poles.

Not one joke about the masterfully crafted thread title.
Take a hard look at yourselves.

Whilst camping in Langdale many, many years ago (too many to remember) a storm went through in the night. Come morning the only tents still standing were the Force 10s and the old Blacks tents. All the supposedly modern nylon tents were just piles of twisted poles and torn nylon. The occupants of these tents were either sheltering in the toilet block or in their cars.
Robert Saunders was one of the first to produce a half decent nylon lightweight tent. We used one for a few years until it started to tear here and there.
I have a modern nylon or some such fabric Vango tent nowadays.
I had a similar experience camping on Exmoor in the mid 1980's. 60mph winds destroyed every tent on the site except my Force 10 and one other tent. Everyone packed up and went home the morning after that storm. They were incredibly sturdy little tents. I have a Robens 3 man polycotton Fairbanks bell style tent which is even more robust but keeps the water out! Shame it's too heavy to back pack with. If not backpacking I prefer polycotton. It breathes better and doesn't get so hot in sunny weather.
