I`ve got the power ranger suit made by Wolf, very good it is too, but need something thats more practical than a one piece. I`ve bought a Wolf 2 piece but it doesn`t fit as well as my 1 piece :( (black size 48" jacket, 36" trousers if anyone is interested PM me for details & pics :D )
My long legs are a major problem getting kit to fit so I was wondering if any of you taller long legged gentlemen can suggest any makers of leather kit for me to try. I`ve considered trying to alter my 1 piece into a 2 piece & getting it dyed black but don`t know if this would be possible or cost effective.

Any ideas gratefully received :thumb

Same problem mate.
I dicked around for ages before I bit the bullet and went to BKS.
Mega £ but v.v. good.
I have mates who have Crowtree and rate them, <£ than BKS.

Unfortunately its probably the wrong time of year as all the squiddely types will be ordering new leathers in this seasons colour :D

I may have to bite the bullet & get MTM, BKS are fabulous items of kit but £££££££££££`s , yes you do get what you pay for, and the Crowtree stuff looks good but seems better value. It`s a PITA being tall, I wish I could just go into a shop & buy something that fits than piss about looking all over the country :(

Then again I`d rather be tall than a short arse :D :D
 
Just been to Crowtree about two weeks ago to be measured. great service whilst there, lots of advice given as to what will suit your riding style and intended use. I'm now awaiting my suit which should be ready just in time for a track day at Cadwell inthe middle of may. Thats the downside, the waiting time is 8 - 12 weeks at the moment.
 
That sounds good Jez, proper customer service :thumb Did you get a 2 piece suit? did you get any bits & bobs on the suit such as stretch panels, slider velcro, armour or spangly tassles ;)

what sort of price was it if you don`t mind me asking?

I went for the one piece with all the usual CE body armour cos they reckon it'd be more comefortable for the track days and also more likely to grow with me in future years. cost is £685 without the back protector (going to use my Knox one). Thats one colour with stretch panels above the knee and across the back to accomodate the more upright riding position of the GS. it costs extra to have Kevlar panels.

Tried loads of different brands.
Tried the BKS , yes i know they are pricey
But what price safety & comfort.
+ they do deals on stuff ordered and not collected ,
why not give em a call , ask for Brian.
I have never yet seen anything to compare !

Fantastic price for custom made, and he also makes leathers for all the top Supermoto Boys, and they need leathers made for the more upright stance of a Supermoto bike..... like a GS

Although you may not want 'em for your GS?

Well impressed with the customer service & seeing as I had the top spec, armour, stretch panels etc, the price was reasonable too considering you could buy an off the peg leather suit for what I paid for my MTM one :thumb

It`ll be a long 12 weeks though :(
