I plan to buy a black mat GS1200. My question is how do mat paint resist to years? I plan to put a tank bag on it and I think that vibrations can make the paint being polished by vibrations or damages more easily... On other problem is that the mat paint is more fragile and can't be polished...
Did you experienced that on your mat paint (black or others)...

Best regards...

You want a matt black paint job and then you want to polish it ???

No of caurse. :)I meen if it is scratched, the mat paint can't be polished to take scratches off. I want to keep it mat but the fixing or contact parts car polish the paint with vibrations....

Put some of that rubber mesh stuff underneath your tank bank to stop the rubbing:thumb

I repainted mine gloss black and the tank bag does damage the paint. No worries for me because it`s scratched enough:augie
